Our new Roll Call forums look like they are starting off to be a great hit. That is what was hoped for.

Each unique Ship and Date combination should have its own thread, if a sailing is tacked onto an existing thread it is liable to go un-noticed and may not get the attention it deserves.
Once a thread is started with a specific ship and date, please, let's not start another thread exactly the same. If a thread has gone a while with no response, again, please do not start another thread, simply make a second post and it will be moved back to the top and it may attract attention the second time around. Also keep in mind that while the forums are new it may take a while to catch on to the point that they are monitored regularly, so if there are no responses, please be a little patient, activity will come in time.

Now for the grungy stuff.

It is important to remember that the Cruise @ddicts TOS and Guidelines and Red's Rules of Engagement will still govern these new forums as well as they do the rest of the community.
The Roll Calls are not meant to be a vehicle for advertising cruises or promoting group cruises, we have other areas that support those functions. Any post that resembles advertising, that suggests or recommends pricing, travel agent or agencies will be removed from the thread. Realizing that a Roll Call can create the feeling of a group cruise without structure there may be enough people getting together that it seems to be a group cruise, but if the thread starts out with the likes of "I would like to" or "Let's get together" a group cruise, the thread will more than likely be moved to the Group Cruise Forums, but once a thread is started, don't hesitate to start planning get togethers, sightseeing and tours together, or anything else that pertains to that particular ship and sailing. This is a meeting place for first encounters and to find out who is going and where.
Threads that are started that are totally off Roll Call topic will either be moved to an appropriate forum or removed depending on their content, posts within a Roll Call thread that do not pertain to the content are subject to being removed so that the thread stays on track.
If these thoughts are kept in mind, the Roll Call forums will evolve into fun forums that will let others find out who is going, what when and where.
