We just booked a cruise on the Explorer of the Seas in a Junior Suite in the very back of the ship. I am just wondering if this is a good cabin to be in or should we take the cabin in the middle of the ship. I was thinking with the balcony you could look out on both sides of the ship, but just not sure, If anyone has been in one of these rooms before I would love your input. Also how was the room. We have four people , we are taking 2 grown children ( boy and girl) and wondering about the sleeping arrangements. Do they bring in a rollaway or is there a pullman bed above the sofa. Thanks so much, Linda

Linda,
I had the same question on this topic and I will be sailing on a JS on the 7th floor of the Mariner. Didn't find much in regard to the cabin other than 20% obstruction according to RCCL. I'm not crazy about the obstruction but have no choice since the ship is solidly booked. According to my TA, obstruction only affects the bottom view - that is when you look at down you wont see the ocean :-(

I haven't tried one yet, but we're booked in an aft junior suite on the Grandeur sailing on September 2nd. According to our travel agent the balcony is a lot larger than a side js.

I'm also told by some TA's that balcony on the aft are bigger generally speaking. Unfortunately I can't verify looking at RCCL web site since there is only a single JS cabin spec. Guess have to wait until 24th to find out.

As posted by Ali in responce to "Aft Cabins" question on the Royal Caribbean Int. Forum

"If you go to webshots.com and type in aft cabins in the search feature you will find a ton of aft cabin photos to give you a better idea."

I followed this advise and found some great pics from other cruisers
