Had a wonderful time on our cruise. Embarkation was incredible, only took about 30 minutes. Got to our cabin and the luggage was there, waiting at the door. Our cabin was spotless, the only problem was an ashtray on the balcony full of cigarettes (ugh!) for three days before they came to clean it. We had fresh towels twice a day, our bed was turned down every night. Milagros, our cabin steward was wonderful. The buffet left a lot to be desired, I would not have fed the food to my dog. The eggs were swimmingly loose and ugly. We never went back. Our longest wait for a table was only 15 minutes. The food in the dining room was good, my only complaint was that the menu very rarely changed. They changed the first three entrees nightly, but never changed the appetizers. The veggie rolls were good but were a bit much every night. T.J. our waiter in Crossings was incredible, if you have a chance to get him, go for it. You should ask for him, he was great. I felt kind of sorry for him tho, he had to wait the table, serve the food, bus it and clean it, they are very short handed. (I think I heard someone say 45 crew members walked off in Maui). We ate in the Palm Bistro twice and in Kahili once and they were excellent. Twice, champagne was sent to our room and once a huge bowl of fruit was sent. We were not charged the 10.00 per day. The excursions through the ship were great. We did Waimea Canyon, which was beatiful, my friends did the Molikini Crater snorkel (they could not go to Molikini as the wind was too rough so they were taken somewhere else - there were no fish to see), we did the Dolphin excursion - no dolphins. The best tour we did was the Best of West Maui it was beautiful and very interesing. I did not like Hey, Mr. Producer I thought it was very amatuer and I missed the Jean Ryan dancers because I was ill. The best place for a drink was the Plantation Club, they make a really good cosmo. One night in the restaurant it took us three hours to eat because they took a kid from the engine room and made him a waiter and he was clueless. I felt sorry for him. The lunch buffet in Crossings, as well as breakfast was very good. All in all, thanks to cruisecritic review, we went with very low expectations and were not disappointed. We had a good time, the ship is spotless, debarkation was amazing, went very fast. I will be happy to answer any other questions anyone may have.
