It's nice. They take you there by tenders, and it has shops with the typical souvenirs, little beaches (they must have brought in the sand because the island is rocky), a kids area. My husband walked around the whole island. The best part is that they cook food there, and around noon it is ready, and you get your hamburger, hotdog, salad, fruit, and eat right there on the picnic tables. And you can stay as long as you want, taking the tender back any time you want. As we were leaving we saw that little kitten which made me sad (I am a cat lover), because I was wondering if anybody feeds it there or how it would have access to fresh water. I asked a guy there, and he showed me some houses towards the one end of the island and he said that people live there. That might explain the chickens walking around. Still I left thinking about that kitten.

It's very cute. I thought it had a Disney quality to it b/c it's almost too perfect & sort of contrived.

It's a nice, relaxing day at the beach. There are plenty of lounge chairs -- it's not at all like the chair hogs at the pool on board ship. There are hammocks. Lunch is good; it's very similar to what's available on ship. I got a little sick of people trying to sell me "coco loco" It seemed like they NEVER shut up. The drink is yummy though. :)

They say you can shop. I didn't see anything worth buying -- it's all the same junk you can buy anywhere.

The snorkeling was OK. They "sunk" a ship & plane for you to go find. The lifeguards throw fish food in the water so it's fun to swim through the schooling frenzied jacks.

Thanks for the replies. It sounds like a nice pleasant day, hopefully with good weather!

Is it very crowded? If the whole ship gets off, it must be crowded.

Are there also water sport things? I mean like things to ride in the water? Tubes, those peddle boats things, snorkeling equiptment, etc...?

Camelia: I know exactly how you feel about the little :kitten. I would feel the same way, since I have cats too. We just got back from a cruise that stopped in Jamaica, and there was a cat at the dock. He was so friendly, but he was dirty so I didn't touch him. I felt so bad for him and wondered if anyone was feeding him or giving him water. He was so skinny. I left there thinking about him too. :(
