Just booked the Norwegian Sky on a 4 day cruise and there are 3 ports of call all in the Bahamas. Nassua, Grand Bahamas and Stirrup Cay ( which I guess is a private island).

I will be travling with 4 families all with 2 kids each ranging from 2yr to 17 years. So, I guess Rum Cruises are out of the question. Any suggestions on what to do in these ports? I will be taking my snorkling gear and would perfer to snorkel one or two ports (since it is a large group I will have to convince them or ditch them).

It's been a while since being on this website, can any one point me to the website that lets you know how many ships will be in a particular port on any given day?

Thanks in advance.

Aloha.... We've been to Nassau four times and have done the Breezes resort day trip three times but I think it might get kind of spendy if you have lots of kids. Never been to Freeport or Great Stirrup so can't address those.

Try out the shoretrips website for these locations. Here's a link.

CAN YOU PLEASE TELL ME HOW YOU LIKE THE DAY TRIP TO BREEZES RESORT? ALSO WHERE DID YOU GET THE INFO FROM ON COST? WE WILL BE THERE FOR OUR FIRST TIME AND WAS THINKING WE SHOULD DO A DAY TRIP AT SOME RESORT SO ANY INFO WOULD BE APPRECIATED.

THANKS.

We just came back from Nassau and we took a taxi $4 p/p to the Atlantis hotel, and then went to the public beach which is right next to it. Then $4 taxi back to the ship. The island tours outside the ship were going for $25 a person.

We took our snorkeling gear but not to this beach. You might want to book a snorkeling tour, I think they had some outside the ship (cant remember) but bahamas is great for snorkeling, very pretty. Enjoy.

Hi there. I didn't see your post until just today. I think you need to call Breezes directly to do the day pass. Not sure if the ship offers it or not. I think it costs about $75 per person but not positive. Because I am a T/A we get to go for free. One of the perks of the job. We just take a taxi up to Breezes, about $7 each way plus a tip.

We like to take the Hobie sailboat out for a spin when we're there and of course they have a nice pool area. There are other water sports you pay for like banana boats and wave runners, etc. And it's all inclusive so belly up to the bar and order anything you want. A little tip to the bartender when you order your first drink will insure there's pleanty of rum in your rum punch.

Breezes doesn't allow children under 14 (18 some seasons).
The Day pass is $60 pp (there's a $5 coupon in the local Tourist Newspaper)

Blackbeards Cay is a nice day tour, and the kids might like the stingrays. (priced seperately).

If you want a great snorkeling tour for all ages, the Flying Cloud would do the trick (www.flyingcloud.info).
