The cat 11 balconies are larger than the cat 8's with the wraparounds being even larger. I had a cat 11 midship in May and there was some vibration and movement. This was in 10 foot seas but it was not severe enough to bother anyone. Just keep moving around, be active and have fun.

The Pride is a great ship with great staff, good food and relatively good entertainment as far as cruises go. Be sure to have dinner at David's. It is a world class dining experience.

Have sailed twice on the Pride in cat. 8 cabins on the stern. Never had any problems. Just have to remember the ship is a moving, floating thing and if the waves get up there will be movement no matter where you are. I never heard or felt any vibrations.

I think sometimes what you read or hear about vibrations are from people who don't realize that when a ship is docking or leaving a dock that there are vibrations and sounds that are not normally heard. I would say you have a good cabin and don't worry about the small stuff. Enjoy the cruise and let the Capt. do the worrying.

I was in a balcony cabin on deck 7 starboard side - cabin 7239 to be exact. It was one of the last ones midship - so we only had another cabin on one side of us. It was perfect for three people, and the balcony was plenty big.

On RCI my relatives have had aft balconies in the middle, and really enjoyed them. They are a bit bigger I believe than the ones on the side of the ship.
