Balcony dividers on the Pride

My family and I have reserved extended balcony rooms on the Pride that will be sailing the Mexican Riviera in November and have heard conflicting stories as to if the balconies can become one long balcony by taking the dividers out. Does anyone know the actual truth about these particular dividers? Would appreciate any info, thanks!

On the last day of our cruise on the Pride, they had them open to clean.

Each divider is made of semi-transparent frosted glass, and they opened like a door, with a hinge on the boat side. Unless they come off fully (I'm not sure) the window of one of the cabins will be partially blocked. So yes, you should be able to share a balcony.

EDIT: They may be different on different floors! I was on the 8th floor Forward. Good luck!

Too,

I try to help people and be a good samaritan in everything I pursue in life. Lately, I have been getting a lot of sarcasm and negativity from people when I try to offer my help.

Please do a favor to all of us who extend a hand by respecting us and our advice.

CML:

My response was not to you at all, - see, the author of this thread (Blueyes) is new to this board and happens to be my little sister. In all honesty, I was only welcoming her to our board, in a way only she would understand. (She's finally as addicted as I am, and only since we're going on a family cruise together.)

Anyway, we both thank you for your response, since I'm in the opposite cabin as hers.

Happy Cruzin'

Thanks CML for your help, any info about this ship is really appreciated, I've never cruised on her before but from reading, it sounds like we will have a really good time. And thanks sis, you have gotten me addicted! :))

Until next time, Happy Sails!!

Your cabin steward should be able to open the divider for you. Don't forget an extra tip. Also, make sure you are there when it is done. On our Legend cruise a fews weeks ago, a similar request was made, but they opened the wrong partition. They came back the next day and opened the correct one. However, they forgot to secure the wrong one. The divider will need to be anchored too while sailing or they can make an awful loud noise in rough seas.
Bon Voyage.
