Balcony size on Celebrity Solstice, is there a difference?

Does anyone know if the Sunset Verandas have larger balconies than other veranda categories?
Any information on size of the balconies on Solstice?

According to the Celebrity web site, the balconies in all verandah categories; verandah, sunset and aqua are all the same. 54 square feet.

Only the suites have larger balconies.

Even the CC balconies on the aft depending on exact location are smaller by about 8" than the 2A"s & B's on Port and Starboard side. There are some bigger ones on the "hump". Largest aft balconies are on the M class.

I know most people love "new" and "bigger" ships, but if you're trying X for the first time, I strongly suggest you try the M Class. Like Bob, Infinity is my fav, Connie second (mostly for the artwork and Perry Grant), then Summit.

When you have to fit that many people on a new ship with a tighter building budget, you're going to see some things lost along the way like bigger balconies.

I have the big CC booked on Summit, does 6044 sound right Bob? Anyway, the giant CC in between the suites on the Aft Penthouse deck. Might cancel it though...too many irons in the fire.

M Class will always be "home" for me on Celebrity, if I ever sail her ships again. When's your next sailing Bob? Sticking to Solstice?

It is not our first time on Celebrity, I love M Class ships very much, we sailed on Millennium 3 times, but I heard that on the Solstice class some of the balconies on the "bulge" are bigger than others. We booked the 1A category cabin 8254, hope the rumors are true.

Yes for sure there are some way bigger. I saw the difference but as does happen I did not make note of the cabin numbers. But looking at the deck plans and from info around I think you are right in the correct area. There is/was some numbering problems with the deck plans vs actual location on the humps so in actual fact the largest balcony would be 8252 but yours should be still bigger. Notice the I think part of my sentence. Make sure you tell us for sure when you get back please. :)
Here is info that I have located. I believe it to be factual. Check this picture and do your math
http://web8.506.bces.de/cruise_xxl/displayimage.php?album=48&pos=3
based on this: If you look at Vista Deck 8, 3rd up from the boats, and locate the cabin with the brown frame behind the www watermark. That is cabin 8242. With that info, you should be able to figure out the rest of the numbers and clearly see which cabins have the larger balconies.
Good luck..

I do know for sure that you are really handy to the biggest banks of elevators and will enjoy your location. Martini bar is straight down :)

Did you like Solstice Bob?

There is a simple answer and a but.....

Yes but....The ship is too large for us so will be sticking with M class and smaller. Given a chance to sail on a S class again would only do a longer cruise looking for a more mature group of cruisers.

I did a review which didn't copy well into our new data base so it's a bit hard to read but all the info is there.

I have an aquaintance who just started his second 6 month gig as guitar player...his frst was last winter on Connie (he makes a great living here at the shore during the summer months). Now he's in Europe on Solstice. This is all new and exciting to him, but I doubt he'll take another 6 month contract, let alone Solstice. Time wlll tell. He's already complaining about the things I warned him about, i.e. revolving door of chain of command, etc., rude pax. He loves the traveling though.

We are in 8232 the end of next month which is the exact same cabin as 8254 but at the opposite end of the hump. Will have MANY photos with drink in hand when we return in March.

Just wanted to let you know the balcony was at least 30% larger from the standard one. We had a full hammock hanging and still plenty of room for table and lounge chairs. One thing I have to say, there was not too much closet space. And yes, you can order room service from a main dining room durring the dinner hours.
