Has anyone used Bananarama Tours in Roatan for snorkeling/beach visit? We'll be in Roatan in January on the Radiance and are thinking about using them? Any other suggestions for good snorkeling/beaching in Roatan? Thanks.

We just visited Bananarama last week for a Discover Scuba session. They have a beautiful beach there. Unfortunately, the weather was poor, and created a strong current that prevented us from getting in the water there.

They took us to their boat dock on the other side of the island. The dock is across the street from a construction site that had dumped all sorts of crap in the water--milk jugs, pop cans, boxes, and other "interesting" items. They seemed a little surprised when we didn't want to get in the water, but gave us a partial refund.

The operation is very small, and at times, was pretty unorganized. After the divers left, our discover scuba instructor kept getting interrupted by other guests to answer questions or find help to make breakfast for guests.

Their beach is pretty, though...might be worth giving it a shot.
