Depends on what you are looking for...
The rough surf side is on the "bathsheba area.. great views.. but not good for swimming, as it is too rough.
There is a beach known as.. "Soup Bowl" in Bathsheba. this place is just a small fishing village, but l it becomes very busy when they hold the surf ing contests.
The trade winds blow up some big winds there... and so it is vey popular with the surfers...
But even if you do not surf.. you may enjoy the reef pools There are plenty of resturants around, and if you stop by Smokey's shop .. you can get a Banks Beer... One of the best beers that you will taste anywhere.
Or if you want the more placid side of the island.. head to Mullins Bay.. the sea here stays calm most of the year. And a good place to snorkel.
