In Barbados, we didn't go to a beach, but did a catamaran snorkel tour and snorkeled from the "cat" over a shipwreck.  It rained on us on the way back and was absolutely beautiful.  Harrison Caves were incredible too.  We took a taxi van to them in the morning and did the snorkel tour in the afternoon.  The beaches we saw from the boat weren't that great looking.  There were only a couple of them and they were steep, short stretches of sand.
