Is there anything that can be done about the lumpy beds & pillows?

We're about 50 days out from departure and I just thought about the lumpy bed we had on the Dawn Princess 2 years ago - would like to avoid the back pain and lack of sleep this time around.

You can ask your cabin steward for an 'egg crate'. Do it as soon as you board, or they'll disappear quickly. Also, have your TA make a note, if possible, that you require one so maybe they'll save you one.

I've heard some cabin stewards can get their hands on real feather pillows. If mine can't, I just may buy my own and carry it on board. I think I'll pack my own pillow case too. Theirs are so rough! I'll leave the kitchen sink home this time though. :grin :grin

Bring your own pillow. Just came back from 10 days on the Island Princess... it was brutal... No down pillows to be found anywhere on that ship.

Fabulous pillows and they can give you more if you ask cabin steward; linens were fresh and changed more often than any other cruise and beds fabulous on the
Regal Princess in November, last year........................Panama Canal transit

The beds on the Island Princess are hard as a rock.....do request in advance the egg crate if you really feel you need one. But, I did find the pillows on the Island better than the pillows that I had on the Grand or the Sea (x2) - so go figure! :)
