Behind the Fun ship tours

I understand Carnival is offering extended behind the scenes tours on many of its ships now at $95 per person. Anybody been on one of these? How was it? Can you book it in advance?

It was interesting, they took us in the kitchen area and other various locations. If your a diehard cruise fan do it. Its one of those tours I wouldn't do again, as far as booking before the cruise I'm not sure about it, I booked ours while on the cruise.

At least you got to see something. When it was my turn for a behind the scenes tour, they put me behind one of the scenes used for the photos on formal night. :(

It includes a Bridge tour, Michael....:)

But I frankly don't know if they're still offering the ship's tour that can only be purchased onboard and is limited to a certain number of Guests. It usually sold out.

My sister & I were on the legend in October. They were offering the tours. They were sold only on the ship & they were a very limited # of spots available. They did 2 tours each of the 2 sea days I think there were only 8 - 10 spots available on each tour. They had spots available for the second sea day when I first checked but by the time we decided to do it it was sold out.

I am seriously thinking of doing this on our upcoming cruise on Carnival Elation. Then again, one of my hobbies is studying ships... so I consider this to be on par with a shore excursion. I agree that it's not for everyone. Thank you for the link, Cruizer.
