We just got off of Inspiration yesterday and although the weather was awful the last three days we had a great time in Belize. We met a man that lived in Chicago for 30 years before moving to Belize. He suggested we rent scooters and have lunch, real Belizan food, at a place called the Birds Isle. It is located at the very, very, very end of Albert St. It is a little scary to get there, the town is very poor but it is well worth it for the food. It is just a hut at the end of the road but the place was clean and the food was amazing. I would have to say it was the best food I ate the entire week, including the ship food. If you are in Belize this place is a must.
