This is my first cruise - going on Valor to West. Carrib. first week in May. We were thinking about booking the cave-tubing jungle excursion through Carnival. It looks like a great time. Has anyone does this?

We just booked our first cruise as well, on the Valor in December. I can't wait to hear what your thoughts are when you get back.

We are also seriously considering the cave tubing in Belize. I have heard wonderful things about the tour. Hopefully others will be able to give you better first hand advice, but you may do a search and consider booking through a private tour group as well as the Carnival tour. It sounds as though both tours are comparable, but the private ones may be a bit cheaper, and the attention can be better in the typically smaller groups on the non-carnival tour.

I recently stumbled across a webpage where someone put together video/pic clips of their western carribean cruise. The couple did the cave tubing, and the zip line tour in Hounduras. It looked amazing! I will try to locate the link and send it to you.

Congrats on your first cruise, I am sure you are every bit as excited as we are. :)

When we were in Belize our friends did cave tubing with Reggie. He is very well known for this excursion. His website is regtour.com We even prepaid our deposit and did not end up going and he gave us a full refund. You will pay twice as much through Carnival. He has never had anyone miss a ship if that is a concern. His tour was $45.00 and then he takes you to a place for lunch and it is $5.00 and you get alot of food.

I just returned from the Legend. We went to Belize and used cave-tubing.com. Yhony emailed me the answers to all my questions. He met us at the time and place he said he would. He let his helpers (Junior and Timmy) take us (5 people) to the cave tubing so we would not have to wait for two people that did not show on time. He waited for them and we went on the tour. The guides were great . They were informative, funny and had our interests in mind the whole time. The price was 45 per person and if you want to stop for lunch it would be 5 more.
I would recommend these guys anytime.

Hello - we will be on the Valor April 30 and have booked the cave tubing through Island Marketing - I've read on different boards that this is a fun thing to do.

Also, 3 in the group are brave enough to go ziplining in Honduras - however when they tried to book outside of Carnival, they would not book them because they have a deal with Carnival. So they booked it through Carnival. All other excursions we booked outside of Carnival. - Why pay more!

We just got back from a cruise and we booked with X-treme Cave tubing (not carnival). Our guide was J.R. and he was great. There were about 12 of us all together and he gave us a talk while he drove all the way there...describing the country, the city, etc. He took good care of us.

The river that they take you to is used by the Carnival excursions as well. Infact, there are quite a few bus loads of people there. The change room and washroom facility there was clean and nice. They serve up a great lunch afterwards for $5. (chicken meal...don't miss it!). There are also a few little shops on their site.

I should also mention that htey sell underwater camera's with flashes there as well (near the bar area). I tried to find one with a flash everywhere else and could not. I haven't developed my pics yet, but I bet the camera with a flash would be better.

I hope this helps.

I did the cave tubing excursion in Belize in September of 04...i booked mine through regtour.com with a few friends and it was a really good time. the only rough thing about the trip was, on the way back to the docks, all the highways going in and out of the city were closed for over an hour because the president of Taiwan was in the country that day...so we were stuck at a military checkpoint on the highway. luckily we got back just in time to catch the last tender back to the ship. but overall, reggie's cavetubing tour is a good one to go with.
