Hi,
Has anyone taken this river tour through the cave thingy? It looks like fun but I'd like the opinion of anyone who has done this. Fun or dangerous? Thanks!

The majority of reports that I have read say that it is fun. Only when it is dry season (low water level) has there been reports of bruising from rocks underneath the water. The jungle trek is about 45 minutes. Check out reviews from Carnival ships, on Belize destination forums and on other cruise forum sites. We too hope to do this tour with Reggie Trapp, private tour operator @ $65pp. He has his own web page and can be reached at regtours.net.
Bon Voyage

Agree with Nana, did a little research this weekend on cave-tubbing. I am looking at going on the Inspiration with my two teenagers this summer. Makes a stop in Belize. This seems to be a very popular excursion. Reggie Trapp also has alot of positive posts on the different boards. His costs compared to the ship excursions are lower. Haven't seen a negative comment from anyone...I think we are going to give it a try! :USA :AL

Last June, my son & his friend did this excursion. They were 17 & 18yrs. old at the time. They had a great time. A few common sense things to remember: Wear shorts with velcro closures on pockets, OR, purchase a waterproof container with a strap to wear around your neck. Wallets, keys, watches, money, etc. need to be secured. My son's friend lost his glasses which he had put in his pocket because they were constantly getting splashed. Take bottled water, because the sun is very intense in Belize. I grew up in FL, visit family there several times a year, but I have NEVER experienced the type of heat as Belize in June. Have a great time!
