My DH and I will be on the Paradise on Nov 16th to these ports. We have been to Cozumel and Grand Cayman twice before and it will be our first trip to Belize and Roatan.
The first year in Cozumel and Grand Cayman, we took ship tour in Grand Cayman and just went to Chankanaab on our own in Cozumel.
The ship tour in Grand Cayman took us around town a little, we went to Hell, the Turtle Farm, and then took a boat out to Sting Ray Alley. Swimming with the Sting Rays is incredible! It was a great tour with a little bit of everything. It was fun to send postcards from Hell.
In Cozumel we took a taxi to Chankanaab, walked around the garden and snorkeled. It was really nice. For a fee, they also have a place to swim with dolphins and a few little shops.
We went back to the boat to clean up and then went out shopping. Shopping was interesting, you can haggle on some stuff. We brought back some chess sets and souvenirs.
Since we did our shopping in Cozumel on the first trip, we booked a snorkel trip on our own for our second trip. We wanted to go to Palancar Reef, but the currents that day were too strong. It was a great trip though. We even did a little bit of shopping afterward since you are usually there for a long time.
On our second trip to Grand Cayman, we just snorkeled at Eden Rock. It's free, it's right off the dock where you tender in, and it is very nice. If you like going to Hard Rock Cafe's, there is one in Grand Cayman. Just buy your souvenirs, don't bother eating. The food was good, but very very expensive. It was like $20 for a cheeseburger and fries.
Have fun and Enjoy!!
