Belize shopping

Does anyone know any good places to shop in Belize? Souvenir / knick knack shopping mostly. I have heard that San Pedro is pretty slim pickings. We are doing the cave-tubing but would like to pick up a couple of souvenirs before heading back to the ship. Any info would be appreciated!

There are several souvenir shops "inside the gate" that you can visit before or after cave tubing.

You won't have much time to shop once you return from Cave Tubing unless you leave really early. The port area buildings are your best and safest shopping opportunity. There is a cigar store, a pharmacy (where you can buy prescription med's without a script) and a few "souvenir shops.

The National Handicraft center is less then a five minute walk from the pier. If you like that sort of thing it is worth the walk. Just turn left when you get through the gate at the pier. You will see signs for the center. I hope this helps!
