Just an FYI on booking shore excursions online. We booked a snorkeling excursion through Coral Breeze Unlimited - for Manatee Watch, Snorkeling, Beach Break 10am - 3 pm Belize time.
When we got there we were informed that there would be no Manatee Watch, or Beach Break - only Snorkeling & it would cost an additional $20 / pp. (Yeah........what's that all about) The trip didn't begin until 11:30 (we arrived in Belize @ 9 am, they wisked us away to a dock where we sat in the HEAT for 1.5 hrs, then we were on a boat for 1 hour to the snorkeling area - even hotter. We were not informed that we would be swimming in areas where the reef is 1 inch from the top of the water & several people were cut on the reef, I ran into a reef & literally got stuck on it) After snorkeling we were taken to a little restaurant where lunch was provided (fair meal) but no time to "explore" because the excursion did not run on time. Very disappointing for the money - would have faired better booking my excursion through RCCL (more $$ but - live & learn - you get what you pay for)
