Hello everybody,
Can any of you good people help us with our Celebrity booking. We have #9043 on the Horizon, which is advertised as being partially obscured. Has anyone had a cabin on this deck, is it obscured sufficiently to consider an upgrade/change? All advice will be appreciated.
Thanks in advance from

The Oldsilverfox.

Hello Silver, I studied the deck plans for the Horizon for some time before I decided to book cabin 9010 starboard and well forward because of the lifeboats. According to the deck plans on Celebrity's website it looks like you might be ok but difficult to say. The identical cabin 9043 on the Zenith (sister ship of Horizon) seems to be totally blocked. Can you go by these drawings??? Only past cruisers could tell you for sure. Either way I am convinced it will matter little once you are exposed to Celebrity's wonderful staff and service. Enjoy, David

The view is indeed partially obscured by the life boats. One each side. You will have a peak aboo view. I really can't advise you on changing however cause price and your own choices are what's important.

Hello!
We are booked in cabin 9042 right across the corridor from you. Sept 18 cruise to Bermuda. I picked this cabin specifically because it is only partially obscured, so light comes in and you don't get the clastrophobic feeling of an inside cabin. Plus it is amidships which we like and up high. Since we are going to Bermuda, looking outside is not a big deal since we will be ashore most of the time. We did a similar booking on Zenith and it worked out great. You can save good money and be located on a higher deck just be accepting a little less light. I think it's a great deal!

We were in #9030, and it almost had a "Full" view, just the tips of the life boats on each side of the window.. For a Catagory 7 cabin it was a steal, it was a great location and had almost a perfect view.. .. great!!

I just got off Connie. It was wonderful, except for air travel which the Celebrity travel office did a very poor job. Too many stops and close calls.
Interested in booking Horizon from Tampa to visit Colon where I lived as a boy. But wonder if Horizon would be too much of a letdown from Connie's grandeur.

We have this cabin (9043) booked for the Oct. 23-31st sailing. I share the concerns expressed by the oldsilverfox about how restricted the view will be out of the port hole. Will there be considerable roll in rough seas due to the cabin being higher up in the ship? What about noise, this cabin is over the rear of the Casino. Anyone out there have experience with the Bermuda deck on the Horizon?
