best place for Lobster in Costa Maya?

Where would be the best place to find a great lobster lunch in Costa Maya?

I hate to be the one to break this to you, but Costa Maya is pretty much a made up port. You dock and walk into a good sized shopping area and the various excursions depart frmo there. There are a few bars and places to eat. But as of last March no Carols and Charlies or resturants like you find in the other ports. Once you leave the shopping zone, there is not much else there. I heard there are cabs available to nearby towns, but you're on your own there.

I realize this, but someone on another thread said they had the best lobster lunch at some hotel in Costa Maya. I hope they read this. Thank you for your reply though.

there have been some postings on other boards about food and drink in a nearby town - a taxi cab ride away in majahual ---bar pez quadro and tapas at ricardos ---plan to visit in march --dont know much else and dont have a clue about lobster

My ship sails on March 12, when do you sail lougee1043? I plan on visiting Majahual, we have a snorkel trip planned there. I guess I will just ask the locals where to go for the lobster.

someone posted on another board that there is a restaurant right next to tapas --it has green umbrellas and they had a chunky lobster salad there for lunch ---poster said very friendly---im going to try it because lobster is good
