We are on the Ruby next March (10 Mar 2010) on the 10 Day out of Ft Lauderdale. Having cruised the Caribbean twice before on Princess, I am trying to get better info (from those who have been there) than provided by Princess online and in the brochures. Having seen, over the years, several folks left behind by non Princess afflliated tours arriving late back at the dock, I want to keep it Princess, but just want better info; here's where we are touring; St Kitts, Antigua, Barbados, St Lucia....thanks in advance for any help you can provide !!

I have used the shore trips website to book excursions many times. I never book through the cruise line. Here's a link.

We are booked on what looks like the same itinerary for Thanksgiving. We have already reserved our shore excursions thru Princess. I'd be happy to post after we get off and let you know what tours we took and how we liked them.

In St. Kitts I would recommend the Island Tour if one is available. For Antigua I would recommend a Beach type excursion since there is a reason it is called the island with a beach for EVERY day of the year. Not much else to do there besides beach. If the tour to the beach stops at Shirley Heights & Nelsons Dockyard then its a bonus. Barbados is well known for its Rum and offers factory tours of teh Mount Gay and Maibu Rum Distilleries which are good. St Lucia has one HIGHLY recommended tour and that is the Catamaran cruise to the Pitons. I personally would NOT recommend the tour that is Half Land & Half Sea as its a LONG tour and the roads are pretty treacherous. The other option if U which to stick with a 100% Land tour is to take one that includes Diamond Falls, The Pitons, and Marigo Bay as the scenes are quite spectacular. Good Luck and Enjoy!!!
