Our cruise got moved from NO to Galveston. We are looking for hotels in Galveston. We looked on Best Westerns website and found a really nice looking hotel for not much money. It is called Best Western Beachfront Inn. My question is is that no other website ever finds this hotel. AAA doesn't list it, expedia doesn't find it, orbit doesn't find it. Galveston's website doesn't list it either but lists tons of others. I was wondering if anyone knows if this hotel has closed recently or remembers seeing it or knows something about it. Seems odd that only there website shows it as available.

We Are Located Directly Across From The Beach And Within Walking Distance Of Various Restaurants. Moody Gardens Is Only 2 Miles Away, And The Docks For The Cruise Line And The Historic Strand District Are Within Five Miles. Rater on that site are $55-60 per night. Sounds like a winner! We will make note of this one as well!

I stayed in that Best Western about a year ago.. It wasn't great, it wasn't terrible. We were upset because we booked a king room but got a double Whoever was working the desk wasn't paying attention to the reserverations vs. the walk-ins. Didn't offer us a discount.

If all you're looking for is a place to sleep, like we were, then this will be a good hotel. If you're looking for a little extra, I recommend staying somewhere else.

Many of the hotels have ecacuees in them and may not be letting out reservations to other sites because they are day to day. Now they are dealing with Rita and evacuations themselves.

I found this out trying to book a room in November in Baton Rouge. It is all along the gulf where the evacuees had to go.

I think you may be moving from Gavelston. I also was cruising out of NO and had my choice between Gavlelston or Tampa, I went with Tampa. But there is still 2 months of hurricane season. Pray that they are not hit very hard.
