I am taking my first cruise and would like to clarify some issues. Can you bring on board bottles of wine, bottled water and soda cans? If yes, is there a convenience store from the Ft. Lauderdale airport to the pier when you can purchase these items?
I have heard that the coffee on Princess is extremely light.......is coffee a charge? Also if 2 people are cruising, do you need to purchase two soda cards? Thank you in advance for any tips / suggestions.

We used one soda card between Hubby and I ..It is FOUNTAIN soda..cans are pricey..soda card worked great for us and the servers were awesome about fast refills..We bring wine and champagne onboard and it cleared fine..Bottle water we purchase at the Publix grocery store 1/4 mile from the pier we stay pre-cruise and they are an excellent store..Never bring water ..just a water bottle holder from pre-cruise hotel stay and keep refilling it and fill from room..the water tastes fine from the tap...:)..but I'm not a fussy water person.=dunno. depends on you I guess. can purchase it on ship but it is Pricey..EEEKK so I do my own....:).Coffee is free all over the ship..expresso's and cappuchino's do cost..but from what I've heard reasonable and Yummy!! I just drink the free stuff, coffee at night with dessert is fabulous..Horizon Court buffet is so/so..Enjoy!!!...:).. .Joanne

By soda, I assume that you mean pop. If you board in Ft. Lauderdale and saty in a hotel along 17th street, Winn-Dixie sells Coke in handy 0.5 liter plastic bottles with a screw top. The are easy to put in the refridgerator and you can reseal unlike a pop can.

Contrary to what the previous poster said about the soda card it is ONE Card for EACH person. That is the correct answer to your question, if someone plans to cheat then what difference does it make what the answers are right?
