A couple of questions I hope someone can help me with:
1. What is a good time to show up to board the Pride? We took our first cruise on her in June, and understood that boarding takes place from 1:00 to 4:00. We arrived at 12:00 thinking we’d be early, but found very long lines, but it looked like people were boarding at that time. We finally got through the process and boarded the ship around 2:30. If we arrived at say 10:00, and boarding did start earlier than 1:00, we might be on the ship around 1:00 or 1:30. Our total time would be longer, but we’d be on the ship sooner. I guess it’s a trade-off. Any comments and/or advice?
2. Does anyone know if the early Queen Mary check-in still exists? I’ve seen several people comment on it, but always in older reviews. If I understand the concept, you check-in for your cruise on the Queen Mary in the morning, like 8 or 9 o’clock. Not many people do this, so it’s a very fast process. You then relax, eat brunch on the Queen Mary, or whatever, and then when boarding starts, you basically walk onto the ship, since all the paperwork is already done Sounds sweet to me, but I don’t know if it’s still an option.
3. Lastly, does anyone know if the comforters on the beds on the Pride are a down material? My wife is very allergic. Our steward on our first cruise said they are not, but I’m not sure he understood my question. My wife got a minor rash, but it may not have been from the bedding.
