I have no idea what "BOB" is but my 21 year old daughter and I (50s) went on the Sea Trek there in December and thought it was fantastic. However, I don't know how to swim and she just learned, so maybe that had some impact on us.
The BOBs are fun although you are only underwater approximately 25 minutes. You do get to snorkle while waiting for your turn. There was not a lot to see compared to some of the places we have snorkled. We did it March of 2003. Be careful..there was a medical wavier to sign which they do not tell you until you are ready to leave shore. I have asthma, but decided to go ahead since they have certified "medics" on board and plenty of help in the water at all times. I had absolutely no problems.....and it was kind of fun driving my skooter around under the water...very unique to say the least.
I have done the SeaTrekking in Aruba and thought it was fantastic too. One of the best things I have ever done. Like being in a salt water aquarium. I am booked for BOB in St. Thomas in July. Really looking forward to do doing it! I think it would be a hard choice to make between the two. Age-wise either would do. Don't think you can go wrong whatever you choose.
