Has anyone done this excursion in St. Thomas? I'm sailing with Carnival next year, thought it looked fun. Could you please tell me your opinions, and what the cost was if remembered? Thanks!

We did the BOBs in march 2003. They are like nothing we had ever done before. We've had better "view" snorkling, but the whole scooter thing made up for it. Be careful of the helmet...I did not know I was claustrophobic at all, but the view was very distorted in the helmet until you go under. THEN it was a breeze and lots of fun.

I'm not a really good swimmer, is that a requirement for the BOB scooters? It looks like lot of fun, but I don't want to drown for a good time!

No, you don't need to be a swimmer. There are many members of the crew in the water with you...and the water is not extremely deep where you go. If you can just jump in, or slide in, the scooters are very close to the boat. Just tell the guys you aren't a strong swiimer and they will help you.

I second this...We just did it in St. Thomas and it was fantastic. Had to do it through the ship. We were the only ones who booked it so Tour Director hooked us up with another ship that was in port. Highlight of the trip!
