Do I get the best deal by booking now or waiting till the last minute (and how late to wait) We're planning to sail the first week of Sept. should I wait and have a back-up ship just in case???

Thanks
Shannon

If you are not particular about cabin location, I would probably wait a while. September bookings generally go slowly, so during those last 60 days before your sailing, it is quite possible that some of those "new bookings only" specials will appear. It's really a crap shoot, however. If some large group were to book a large block of cabins for your sailing date, everything changes. Good luck!

The way trends are going with such a glut of cruise ships and cabins out there, this seems to be the way to go. Wait until after the 60 day final payment due date, then look for a "bargain". The only draw back is the cabin of your choice and air fare if necessary. The other issue is storms in the Caribbean. If we start having hurricanes early in the Summer, there could be some island damage and itineraries could change, too.
Good Luck.
