That's good news.
But the table booking has worked fine so far for me, always got the table for the day I wanted.
Too bad that it doesn't work yet on my next sailing with Jewel.
Next time I eat at Portofinos is on May 13th:chef

I noticed this last night when I booked my cruise for next year. Thats good news. That way if you know you want to do it you can do it well ahead of time. But I have to say it really wasn't that big of a deal to do it when you get there. I called a few minutes after we got to our room and got reservations for V-day so not really a big deal if you do it right away.

I know it is usually easy to get the time you want once onboard, but it sure will be nice to have it all prepaid for too..

I just saw this today. Great idea. Unfortunately it won't be active for my July 27th sailing on Mariner.

Good point. My wife and I are still debating if we will do Portofino on Adventure next year or not. She doesn't want to bring her dress for just one night, we don't like the main dining room. What are some example of smart casual for men? Just wondering for myself if we end up doing it? Anyone..

Even on formal night, you do not have to "dress up" for Portofino.........as a female,I would wear either a nice pair of pants(some even wear capris but I dont) and nice top or sundress..........my husband would wear docker type of pants and a long sleeved buttoned down shirt........but really could get away with short sleeves too.........its just he prefers the long sleeves.........

You dress that way to go to Portofino on Formal night? If that's true, those are the words I've been waiting to hear.
This is the first cruise where we are just not interested in doing the formal thing... It's always been a task to us
and we change right after dinner anyway. We did it more out of respect for everyone else.

This is good news!!!

Yes,you can dress nice without being formal for Chops/Portofino..and like you said, most people change out of their formal clothes right after dinner anyway..
