Booked our first cruise

Booked our first ever cruise in January, wife and I, brother and sister-in-law. Only took us 4 nice bottles of wine and a bottle of Martinni & Rossi Asti to come to a decision on where and when. We decided on a Southern Caribbean cruise on the Golden Princess departing San Juan on November 21, 2004.

Sister-in-law's birthday is on the 20th of November, our 37th anniversary is on the 22nd and my birthday is on the 25th (thanksgiving). Heck of a way to celebrate we thought, so we invited more to join us, now there are 8 of us in adjoining mini-sweets on the Dolphin deck AB cat I believe is what they are.

I have 'cruised' the internet, read and re-read so many review's that I feel I am already a seasoned cruiser, the 8 of us are obviously in a state of extreme anticipation for this vacation. Retirement is tough and were all in dire need of some good honest relaxation.

There I've vented my excitement and thank you for reading this bit of drivel!

Hmmm, guess I'm confused as to what the 'main board' is but will certainly do so if I have anything meaningful to post.. :)

Jon,

=welcome aboard!! We are glad to have you joining us. You will LOVE cruising... and its so much fun when you go along with others. What she meant by "main board" is that there are several different areas here, she is talking about the "community board". That is where the "regulars" hang out and talk about all kinds of stuff, cruise related and non-cruise related. Make sure you look around, theres a lot of stuff here. Theres a search feature to help you find info, theres a photo gallery, a review sections, a cruise tracker, sections for all the cruise lines...... allllll kinds of stuff. Make yourself at home. If we can help at all, let us know.

Doing that planning is lots of fun isn't it!! Enjoy the anticipation of your first cruise. It's better than you could ever imagine.

If you click on this link it will take you to the Community Bulletin Board of this site. Lots of posts every day, some fun, some cruise related but questions are always answered quickly there.
