I've seen posts on booze cruises, yet in the shore excursion book that NCL gave I don't see anything titled "Booze Cruise". Do I just wait to get off the boat and I will see them on the pier? or can I pre-book one. I am trying not to book any excursion via NCL, I assume they will be crowded w/ the rest of the last minute morons like myself!

In the Caribbean it is called the Kon Tiki party boat. I hear its a blast. Lots of drinking after you swim and sun bathe. We thought about doing it, the cost is around $30-$40 per person. Good luck. :cheers

It's called a booze cruise in Nassau and sounds like the same thing, only in Nassau, Bahamma's, it's close to a 6 hour trip, well worth it tho, loads of fun. I think the one in Montego Bay is 2 1/2 hrs.

Sometimes they're called "Sail and Swim" or something like that. The cruise lines all have them and they're worth the money. You could do it on your own for $5. or $10. less, but not worth the worry about getting back to the ship on time, etc.

Been on them in Barbados, Grand Cayman, St. Thomas and a few more - just look for one that says "rum drinks" and you're good to go!

Bon Voyage!

The Kon Tiki in St Thomas was a good time. (I'm 37 and partied more in my youth). The beach where we moored for an hour was very pretty, but had no bathroom.

The host was very entertaining. My only complaint was that the steel band was amplified over a tinny p.a. system. I was right by the bullhorn. I had to go up to the top deck. Being in full sunlight was preferable to my ears ringing.

Rum punch was indeed unlimited, very sweet, and somewhat potent. It was not, as claimed by the host, made from 151 proof rum. I saw the bar hostess pouring from 80 proof bottles. Whatever! It allowed the host to make some good jokes.

NOW! In Barbados, the Jolly Roger party boat....that is a PARTY. Our dinner tablemates went on that and they said most folks got completely smashed and the crew's egging them on had a lot to do with it.

Have fun. Be careful.

We just came from the Summit and there were passengers who were on what the bartender called the Booze Cruise. I noticed that they paid for all of their drinks with coupons and only gave their cruise card for the tip. There seemed to be a lot of them on the Summit Feb 2.
