Bringing alcohol on board

CRUZINGFAMILY

We've cruised RCCl several times over the years and have always packed a bottle or two of alcohol in our checked luggage. Recently we've heard that RCCL is now confiscating the alcohol and are even disembarking passengers for this. Has anyone heard or experienced this recently??

I have read on other forum posts here that RCCI are anal and tough on passengers when it comes to taking wine or any alcohol on board. Princess allows passengers to take wine on board.

Does anyone know what the RCCI policy is as it relates to non-alcoholic beer,i.e. can a person take that on board and if confiscated will they have to "walk the plank" also?

Last year on the Jewel, we brought a couple bottles of wine in our carry on , we didn`t have a problem.

They may confiscate the alcohol but will not prevent you from taking a cruise,,

This is strictly verboten on NCL. Read the fine fine fine print on your ticket. They may actually make you walk the plank!!

The website and the travel catalog all state that bringing alcoholic beverages onboard is prohibited...but...I bought some rum runners and plan on putting those in my checked baggage as I've been told they don't show up as easily on xray...but if they find them they will confiscate them...I doubt they'll kick anyone who could otherwise be spending money in their bars/casinos/shops/specialty restaurants/etc/etc.. etc...from being allowed on board...if any cruiseline were to enforce this 'rule' everyone on the planet would hear about it here!!! and on many other cruise websites...
we tend to pass information around quite effectively;)
