spouse and i are booked on upcoming Zenith with butler; a first in 12 cruises for us. have sailed on Celebrity before and pleased. what can we expect? thanks,

It really depends on the butler (personality, etc.) The first one we had - Rupesh on Century - was intelligent, engaging, and carried on good conversation while providing unparalleled service. Butler on Summit to Alaska was ok, but didn't go out of his way. Butler on Mercury to Mexico was better, but still not Rupesh. It seems we ask for things at odd times - and then the service is passed on to your cabin steward or another butler, and the commitment just isn't there. But, having taken 5 cruises on Celebrity, 3 with butlers, I'd still take the butler.

The Butler will take care "you" and the cabin attendants will take care of the cabin. We have enjoyed our Butlers on Celebrity very much... some were slightly better than others, but all have gone out of their way to make the experience special. The Butler will serve anything you request to your cabin including multi-course meals from the dining room menu. If you have a cocktail party he will make all the arrangements from having the invitations delivered to arranging for drinks and appetizers.
