RINI,You leave the ship and come back with some bottles in a bag. You then pass the bag through the Xray machine. You then take the bag and go to your cabin. I have never had the slightest problem with Celebrity. Most other lines do not allow this. Somebody declared in a recent post that they thought people who brought their own wine etc. were cheap. The cruise lines purchase all their liquor and wines directly and then transport it to a bonded warehouse. This means the cost for the line is BELOW WHOLESALE WITH NO TAXES. Their costs for a bottle of top shelf liquor shouldn't be more than $5-$6.and often less. Time was when you could go to sea and drink from a fantastic selection of "duty free" liquor and wine at prices that were far less than on shore. Those days might be gone but I congratuate anyone who brings their own onboard and defies these ridiculously high prices. It seems to me that the lines are saying "FULL GREED AHEAD".ROSS
