C@MERA - Cruise @ddicts MExican Riviera Adventure

Here's a cruise option that gives those of us who can't take more than a week off, and/or who might have children (this is President's Day week); and/or live on the west coast of the US, a chance to participate in a group cruise and meet other cruise fans.

So far, a few addicts have booked -- so the group has started forming. If you're going, just let me know, so I can try to arrange an onboard meeting early on the cruise. :) hucc<nospam>@cruise-addicts.com . Just remove the "no spam". :)

I'd love to do it, but we just booked our cruise for April 2005. The Mexican Riveria is on our list of places to see. Thanks - Patricia

WE PUT A DEPOSIT ON A CRUISE ON THE DIAMOND PRINCESS TO THE MEXICAN RIVIERA. AFTER TALKING TO THE TRAVEL AGENTS THAT I DEAL WITH, WE CHANGED OUR MIND. WE'VE CRUISED TO THE CARRIBEAN 3 TIMES & LOVED IT. THREE OF THE AGENTS TOLD US THAT THE WATER WAS NO WHERE NEAR AS PRETTY OFF OF THE WEST COAST AS IT IS IN THE CARRIBEAN. WE WERE AFRAID WE WOULD BE DISAPPOINTED. CAN ANYONE TELL ME THEIR EXPERIENCES IF YOU'VE BEEN TO BOTH????

Teeree, You're allowed to change your mind :grin If you know your TAs well, they probably have a pretty good handle on what you would enjoy!

I have cruised both destinations and have wonderful experiences with both. I really enjoy the differences between the ports on the Mexican Riviera Cruise. I just wish that the Diamond did the round trip, 10 night cruise from LA to Acapulco! Still, there are huge differences between Cabo, Mazatlan and Puerto Vallarta. You can experience desert, jungle, mountains and beaches. A huge plus for us is that we don't have such a long trip to get to a port city located on the west coast.

Of course the water on the Pacific side will never be as clear and beautiful as the Caribbean Sea. If you are keen divers or snorkelers perhaps it is best to stick with the Caribbean. I know you will have a wonderful time no matter which area you choose to cruise.

Part of the reason we chose it, is that we've done the Caribbean and Bermuda a number of times, and wanted to try a few different places. :)

Getting a quote on this cruise. Was planning to cruise on Sun Princess but it is not working out so checking this one out. At least I won't need airfare as I am only 2 hours from the port. How many signed up already? Miss Piggy Brulee

Would love to see you aboard!!! It is tempting not to have to fly across the country isn't it! We will still have a trip to get to LA but not nearly as long as the flight to FLL!
