Cabin 2702

Hey there,

My search returned nothing, so I am hoping any of you who had 2702 on the Volendam, Zaandam, or Amsterdam, can help me decide whether to keep or change this cabin. Do you happen to recall any pros or cons about it? We booked the Volendam for 2 week Australia and New Zealand in December. Also, do you have any pictures you can share with me?

Looks like an ocean view cabin facing aft. I have always wanted an aft facing cabin, I think it would be cool.

Looks like a wheelchair access cabin. The downside to booking that is if you are not a wheelchair person and they have someone who is and needs that cabin, they could move you to anywhere on the ship.

The cabin has a porthole instead of a window and, as Michael stated, is wheelchair accessible.

If you are prone to seasickness, you may wish to reconsider cabin locations. The waters around New Zealand and especially the Tasman Sea can be among the roughest in the world. That motion will be most noticeable forward and aft. That being said, when I cruised New Zealand/Australia, the seas were calm. You never know.

If you are not handicapped -- please turn down that cabin now and select something that you would like. That way you won't get "bounced" later on to something you may not like.

If I were you I would select a cabin midships.
