I sailed on Fantasy last Sept. Cat 12 Cabin U70,not sure if it's the same as Fasination, but our cabin was very nice, roomy, and yes we had a VCR and fridge. To check in ask for the "Skipper's Club" when you arrive at the port. Cat 11 & 12 include priority check-in.The special check in was a great perk! Cruising this March on Pride Cat 11- Have a great trip!

When in March are you going....we just upgraded to a category 11 on the Pride March 22. I am curious to see what this room looks like? Any other perks besides easier check in?

OH-so close,we are going March 29th. There's some great pictures in this sites photo gallery-click to list alphabeticly-the one listed as Pride Suite Cat 11. However this particular cabin is an aft corner with wrap around balcony so it has a different layout-the pictures inspired me to book the same cabin. You get a much bigger balcony. I think there maybe another few pix-just browse thru the galleries. There are some other generic pix on Expedia. The only other perks I know of are robes, although I've heard if you ask you can get at any catagory. Also there was a bunch of trial-size goodies in the bathroom (shampoo, lotion, etc.)

Thank you for your info....we are so looking forward to this cruise. It is our first and figured with the children we need a larger room ....Its our first vaca alone with our children. Normally our whole family goes (14 in all). We are really looking forward to seeing the sites. If there is anything we shouldn't miss, I would gladly love the info.

We are in a Category 12 on the Fantasy 1/30 (only 10 days to go) and I am hoping that some of the bad reviews are not true (I have 17 people in my family going, I chose the ship, and 15 out of the 17 have never been on a ship). Has anyone been on this ship lately? Is it gaudy? Stuck in a 70s/80s decor? My family likes to have fun and we are not at all "uppity" but kids screaming through hallways and totally drunk people all over the place are not quite our thing either.

Thanks!

I sailed on Fantasy in Sept.2002 with my sister and a friend. Had a Cat. 12.(Don't forget to ask for the "Skipper's Club" at the port) The room was a good size-fridge,VCR,bathtub,nice balcony. However if your close to six foot I don't know how anyone could stand in the tub for a shower,it seemed like I had about 6 inches of head room and I'm only 5 ft. tall.I have to admit that the ship is thread-worn,and the decor is outdated. The most troubling was the public restrooms, they always seemed dirty and old. We didn't have any problem with drunks or unrully kids(although I don't think many were on board because of school). If you are looking for fancy, new, and as you say "Uppity" -this ship is not for you-HOWEVER- if you are looking for a good time, good service, good food, and good shows you will have a blast. And if 15 of your group never been on a ship they will have nothing to compare it to.That was my problem,I was comparing it to my previous cruise on a brand new ship (Explorer),my sister, who had nevered cruised, had a fabulous time and so did I when I stopped comparing the things that really don't matter like gaudy decor.Don't sweat the small stuff-the important things are service, food, entertainment -which were excellent. Have a great time. I'm sailing on Pride in March-can't wait!!

I just got off the Fantasy this past Thursday. We were also in a cat. 12, cabin U73. The suite is fantastic!! One word can sum up this cruise for us - WONDERFUL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have written a long review on two of the "other" cruise boards if you'd like to read it. But to sum it up, even though the ship is not one of the newer ships, she is indeed beautiful, the food was wonderful, the service from all of the Carnival staff and crew was outstanding!!! The cruise was just perfect!!
