Does anyone know which balconys are fully covered and which are not? Is it according to the deck or price. Will appreciate your answers.

Hello Cruiser11,

Don't forget about the Emerald deck.

Near the aft of the Emerald deck are a few minisuites whose balconies are totally covered. We've booked one for the Great Escape in February. The cabin we've booked, E731 has an extra large balcony too, so we are really looking forward to it.

This is a photo of the Crown princess that helps show which decks are covered and which not. (The Crown and Emerald are nearly identical) If you notice the short section of verandahs near the aft of the ship, and on the same level as the life boats, that is the Emerald Deck mini-suites. The only mini-suites that are covered.

This photo is closer and clearly lets you see that the verandahs of the last cabin in the row on Emerald and Dolphin deck are much larger.

This is a photo of the Emerald Princess itself. It’s a little farther away, but you can see it’s exactly the same as the crown.

We just got back yesterday. We were on the Caribe deck (deck 10), and noticed the deck below us was uncovered. Didn't notice that for a long time, so I hope others are aware before they book.

We've booked our first balcony today (inside before) and we never thought about it being covered or not. We have booked on Aloha deck and glad to see that it is covered, so this means you can sit out in all weathers?

We book a mini-suite to give us a bit more space. We like a location between the atruim and the forward elevators. That puts us on Dolphin Deck. While we would prefer a covered or partially covered balcony, We accept the uncovered balcony to get our choice of space and location. So far, the fact that our balcony has been uncovered has not casued us any problems.

Good to see the pictures of the rear cabin verandahs which we guess will be the same on the Ruby, but does anyone possibly have a photo taken from the Bridge deck of L106 or 107 ? which are the cabins at the end of the Lido deck and Front the walk on Bridge deck?

thanks

Dave and Kerry.

A picture is truly worth a thousand words.
Wish I'd known I'd never see the ocean from the high decks of Ruby, just people's heads.
