MIAMI (12/11/03) - Gerry Cahill has been named executive vice
president and chief financial officer at Miami-based Carnival Corporation &
plc (NYSE/LSE: CCL; NYSE: CUK), the world's largest cruise operator.
In this capacity, Cahill oversees all of the finance, accounting,

Corporation & plc, which operates 12 worldwide cruise brands. Cahill will

senior vice president - finance and chief financial officer in January 1998.
Prior to joining Carnival, Cahill spent six years with Safecard Services,

officer and then as chief operating officer. From 1979 to 1988, Cahill held
financial posts at Resorts International, Inc. He also spent six years at
Price Waterhouse.
