We spent a week in the Myan last January and outside of public transportation taxis are the way to go. The rates are posted at every cab stand and is no negotiations this way no one get ripped off. We also went to Xel-ha on our own and got the all inclusive package at 50.00 per person which included drinks (with and without) snorkeling geer, towels, luch at a sit down resaurant and all other activities. It was a great day. We took 2 cabs 8 of us and total save for the day was about 50.00 per couple over the tours from our resort.

If you are docking in Calica....don't go to xel-ha....go to Xcaret; it's right next to the pier in Calica....it is one of the most amazing ecological parks in the world and well worth the time to visit....if your ship stays past dark, they put on an amazing Mayan show through the park.... You can always visit the ruins from any Yucatan stop....but Xcaret isn't available to other Yucatan stops usually....

We're going to be in Calica in a few months and we've been doing some research. We are really interested in this Catamaran trip we've found:

Fat Cat Catamaran it sounds incredible, sailing along the coastline, going to a secret beach. I think we are sold on this. If anyone had done it, I'd love feed back..

Thanks

Hi, We were in Xel-Ha on a land trip a few years ago and liked it very much. The snorkeling was wonderful and the park was beautiful. Just putting my 2 cents in.
