Hello,
Does anyone know around how much it costs to use the cabin phones on the Century to call home to the US? I will be going to the W. Car. = Jamaica, Mexico, Caymans
I was also wondering about buying a Pre-paid phone card. If anyone knows anything about how to save money to call home please let me know. I doubt my sprintpcs cell phone will work while at sea.
*Must check in now and then to see how my 3 dogs and 3 cats are doing of course!
Thanks,
Leopardlee

The cabin phones are very, very expensive. About $10 to $15 a minute!!Leopardlee wrote:

I have an ATT calling card from Sams or Costco. Before you go, you have to call ahead and get an access number. It is about 2.9 cents per minute to call in US.

To call from Cozumel, each minute is 9 minutes so the cost is less than 27 cents per minute. There may be a surcharge from the pay phone there.

To call from Belize, it is 10 minutes of time for each minute of call. That is less than 30 cents.

They said that you can't use the card from Nassau or the Bahamas. I need to find a way to do that.

On a related issue, does anyone know how much it costs to call from home to the ship. There is a number in our info that gives the phone number to the ship.

You can also e-mail home. I heard that in some ports you can do 15 minutes for a few dollars.
