Has anyone ever used this service on the Sensation? I know they are expanding it but we are cruising in October from NO and we are bringing our 6 year old girl. She may want to try some of the activities and parties. I would like to know if they have any late night parties for her to attend that gives the parents a chance to relax. Thanks in advance........

For your daughter-- she will be in the 6-8 year old age group. (she willbe 6 on the day she is sailing?)

Activites go from morning til 10pm for free. Camp is closed during sometimes every day. (think lunhctime) noon til 2.

On formal nights they will have their own coctail party so you and honey can have a nice formal night all to yourselves.

Camp is pick and chose what you want to do-- you dont have to stay for all activities.

BUT-- whoever drops her off will be the one picking her up- in other words-- you drop her off-- honey can not pick her up.

After 10pm there is a charge of 6 bucks per hour

If you and your spouse drop her off then either one can pick her up. We took our 7 y.o. last September on teh Conquest and she had a blast. We went during a time that there were not a lot of other kids and she got a lot of one-on-one attention to make up for the lower number of friends. My complaint is that it seemed a little bit of a hassle to watch the clock to know when to pick her up so we wouldn't be charged extra, but she had fun and that is what we were hoping for.

Landshark-- rules have changed since last Sept, dad can drop them off but mom can NOT pick them up.
whoever drops them off must be the one to pick them up.

this is only for age groups 2-5 and 6-8 the other groups can sign themselves in and out without a parent

Maybe I should explain a bit more - if both of us (mom and dad) took our daughter to camp carnival together, and both signed her in, then they would let either one of us go back to get her. Is it not that way anymore? Because if not, if both of us took her, woud both of us have to pick her up?

We are planning our next cruise for December and this may be useful information.

We cruised on the Sensation in 03. Serene gave you some great tips/advice. Back then whoev3r droppped them off had to pick them up .It could not be a different parent. It was the same way on Miracle in 05.

There is paid babysitting from 10pm -3am. My youngest loves to go to that. I have no idea why. We usually do it one night to go to adult only comedy. We take him up at 10 in his pj's. It is a quiet time. They watch a movie. HE is usually sleeping when we pick him up. They charge it to your sign and sail.

Mississippi-- when we sailed the Miracle the counselors said the activities were fleetwide and would just vary from day to day-- depending on ports.. and the activitiy may be the same except the name has been changed.

Yes your daughter will have a great time.

We are cruising the Sensation on April 6th. The 3rd sailing after revamp. I know that they are adding major space for the kids program and a mini golf area. I will update everyone once we have returned. My daughter will be in the 6-8 group and my son will be in the 9-11 group. Should be lots of fun.

Yes, Please let us know how it looks and how the activities are. We are going the week of Halloween. But Halloween is probably on formal night since the second night is usually always formal night. ( we sail on a monday, Halloween is on a Tuesday). Should think there will plenty for them to do!
