Camp Carnival Question??

I was just reading Mohavemommy's review of the Pride. And she said that there is a six hour limit on the time you child spends at camp carnival. Not that I think that is a bad idea. But I was wondering if that includes the time between 10pm and 3am when you would pay extra. It seems to me if you are paying extra, then those times shouldn't be included in that six hours. Thanks for any info

One question: a child in our party on an upcoming cruise has "special needs".
Are there arrangements that can be made to allow her to participate, or are there individual counselors for this, or should we just count on her being in a Camp Carnival session (and giving Mom some downtine.)

Thanks.

passant..I would call Carnival and ask them exactly what they would provide. Ask if they have a special needs desk.

I think the 6-hour limit is for children under a certain age, but I'm not absolutely sure. Our boys (9 year olds) were kind of in/out all day long, and never spent 6 hours straight in Camp Carnival.

One of our sons is hearing impaired, and had no problem at Camp Carnival. The staff was very good about looking directly at him when they spoke to him, and he had a great time.

OBFam , thanks. I don't intend to leave my four year old in there for 6 hours straight either. Plan to let him spend a couple hours in the morning , a couple hours in the afternoon, and a few hours after dinner(but not all nights). And that would be on a sea day. On port days they will be with us most of the time, except at night. Thanks again for the info.

Children of all ages are limited to 6 consecutive hours because meals are not provided.

Darlene...does that mean if you take them in and out you can use it for more than six hours in one day. For example, on a sea day if he goes for two hours in the morning and two hours in the afternoon, can he be there from 8:00pm until 12:00AM when I am paying for the extra babysitting???

Hello....... Since the original message was in reference to my review, I felt I needed to reply.
We took our kids in when Camp Carnival first opened in the morning, picked them up for lunch, and when we brought them back in the afternoon, they calculated how much of the 6 hours there was left that they could stay. My children are 6 and 10. In other words, it didn't matter that we did give them a break and take them for a couple hours for lunch. They stated that the rule was no more than 6 hours TOTAL for the day. Unknown if this would include babysitting services too........
