If your children are under a certain age, perhaps five or so (I'm not sure since we don't have very young children anymore), Camp Carnival requires you to sign up for a pager. Our youngest children are nine-year-old twins, and for that age group, you could rent walkie-talkies if you wanted to. We had our own, but forgot to bring them, and then didn't end up renting them. Our kids were pretty much engaged in Camp Carnival, and we just set pre-arranged times to meet them wherever Camp Carnival was taking place at that particular time. Many families used the walkies, however, and I'm sure they are helpful.
