can you be anti-social?

Going on Golden soon. Have done four other cruises.
This will be our first with the PC dining option.

Several people have said how they love meeting
different tablemates every night.

But what if you're grumps, and just want a table for two,
every night? How hard is that? Is it even possible?

Judy.

Judy,

We were on the Golden last December. I am not an anti-social person but I would rather enjoy having dinner at a table for 2. We had personal Choice dinning on the golden and every night we did not have a problem getting a table for two. On the two formal nights we did have to wait longer for a table for two than the other days (about 20 minutes).

Enjoy your cruise. I loved the Golden Princess and would cruise with her again.

Judy,

We were on the Grand last April. It was our first cruise, so we wanted to enjoy the time together, we got a table of 2 every night and did not have a problem at all. And if you encounter a line up at one dining room, you can always use the other PC dining room.

Hope you enjoy your cruise, we are planning to go on the Golden very soon too.

I've done table-for-two every night on Golden Princess. I'm faaaaaar from what people would consider anti-social, but I have a very busy and complicated life when I'm not cruising, and I really enjoying a week's worth of dinner meals catching up with my husband. I can barely maintain the friendships that I have now, so other than polite chit-chat on a cruise, I have to say that I must be one of those rare birds who doesn't vacation to meet up with others. :)

Thank you all for answering.

It's true, I have this person called a husband that I barely have time to enjoy
in our usual hellish lives.

Which have us being diplomatic, friendly and smiley to dozens of
people a day, just to get our jobs done. We're going on vacation to get away
from it all!

Here's to 12 nights of cozy dinners...hope you all get yours too, soon!

Judy.

My husband and I went on the Star in Jan.. We were on our 25th wedding anniv., so would rather have had a table for 2. We had no trouble asking for and recieving a table for 2. Like the previous posts, on the formal nights the wait was a little longer, but worth it. Enjoy your trip.

As has been mentioned this is one of the benefits IMO of PC dining as they do have many more smaller tables available. Enjoy!!! :thumb
