Can you disembark early on cruise?

I am thinking about going on a cruise to Latin America. The only thing is, I wanted to disembark at one of the ports and stay longer, then return by plane. We have a lot of luggage, and I was wondering if we would run into any trouble. We were thinking about a Princess cruise because they have no limits. Are you allowed to take your luggage off the ship while at port? Let me know, thanks.

I have not left early myself but I have heard of people leaving early. It does cause problems with setting things up with Customs in the area people get off. From what I heard there is also an extra cost for people to get off early. In other words I would check with the cruise line before booking and possibly talk to Customs in the area you want to get off the ship.

Hello Jack! I think this is possible - especially when you consider that crew and staff members often jump on/off at all sorts of different places. We always try pack light though - think of the carbon footprint!
