can you purchase soda cards in advance and if so where?

Can you purchase coke cards prior to departure - if so, where - also, can you purchase drink cards? I did not see anything on the princess web site.

Final question - do they have shampoo and toothpast in your cabin?

You get the Soda Cards on board... There are no drink cards. Shampoo - Yes, Toothpaste - No.

Did our first cruise in Jan. 04 on Golden Princess. When we entered ship we were immediately approached to purchase souvenir coke thermos for $22.50. I think it held maybe 8 oz..and was worth the deal if you drink soda throughout the day. We also notice that more seasoned cruisers had bottled water with them when they boarded the ship. They said it was cheaper then purchasing bottled water on the ship, which they sell for 2 to 4 dollars depending on size for shore ecxursions. We had a wonderful time and learned quite a bit from veteran cruisers how to cut corners. Shampoo, but no toothpaste.
