When do you think we will receive our next Captain's Club newsletter including any discount coupons?

We love Celebrity but have never cruised with the Grand Children. Our date of travel is a school vacation week in New England the last week of February 2/22/04. What are your experiences with the children's program during that time frame; pro's & con's are welcome.

Millennium's 2004 Eastern Caribbean itinerary: There have been numerous rumors of itinerary change eliminating Catalina Island/Casa de campo. The Captain's Club desk says no that it is still included. Anyone else have any first hand knowledge. This may take our decision for next year away from Celebrity.

Not sure about the CC Newsletter Nana. As for the children we aw VERY few when we wre on the Millie during that timeframe in 2001. IMO while I am sure your grandkids would have a decent time on the Millie I think they would probably have more kids around their age on either a Voyager Class ship of RCCL, a Grand Class ship of Princess, or a Carnival ship. The kids that we did see onboard were making their own Fun and unfortunately were out and around the ship and drinking when they should NOT of been. I have heard inklings about Catalina because of the tendering but have heard NO definite timeframe. Hopefully Celebrity will step up to the plate and answer this one in a timeframe that allows paxs a choice. Good Luck on the cruise with the Grandkids. :thumb

I recieved a news letter last week with a coupon for a cruise that I have already booked in November. Another $100 in my pocket.

I always love to listen to people when we are in line for a cruise check in mentioning why they see no reason to pay $35 to join the Captains club.

The best $35 that we have spent. Many cruise coupons, early check in and advance reservations in the speciality rest.urant

Einstein & BP thanks for your response. I too agree about the $35 fee. We have received our share of benefits from this one time only payment. None of the other lines' freguent cruiser programs have the kinds of perks we have been able to receive. Embarkation and disembarkation priority are worth their weight in gold! Einstein, I am in total agreement with you about your experiences with children on board. We love Celebrity for that fact too. Even though we love our grand kids, we like R&R too. We are also looking at the RCCL Radiance and Carnival Glory. The family cabin on the Millennium and its original itinerary are what attracted by daughter & her husband as wll as a great 3rd. & 4th passenger rate. I spoke with Celebrity once again today and they stated that Casa de Camp is the port not Catalina Island. Actually I have been having a real nice vacation on the new Carnival ships these last 2 cruises, and know their Camp Carnival programs is great as well as their values for everyone can't be beat. Carnival has really changed their image on these style ships and is a Fun vacation for everyone - singles, families, empty nesters, seniors, etc.
Bon Voyage
