A special Platinum Luncheon was held on the Coral Princess last sailing (and I believe they are held on all the ships) for the 'top' Platinum passengers.

Here is the Menu, on the Coral Princess, it was held in Sabitinis.

Appetizer:

Selection of Warm and Cold Appetizers
"ANTIPASTO" with Prosciutto and Cantagloupe
Bouquet of Selected Lettuce Leaves
Mini Pizza, Caponata and Baked Camembert.

Main Course Selections:

GRILLED ORANGE ROUGHY "CLARANCE"
Dressed on Potato Galette, Garnished with
Lobster and Fresh Tomato Coulis, Tuned Baby Vegetables

or

FRENCH STYLE ESCALOPES OF MILK FED VEAL
Sauteed Wild Mushrooms Presented with Fresh Market Vegetables
in a Potato Basket.

Dessert:

Synphonie of Honey Parfait and Chocolate Terrine Garnished
with Fresh Berries.

Friandises

Quite a delightful luncheon. Wish I had taken pictures, everything
was presented beautifully.

That was my biggest regret on the Dawn Princess--did not bring my camera so I could have taken pictures of the food. Me, who is always taking pictures.

In fact, we had e-mailed the kids and said, "Oh yea, us and a hundred other people for lunch." But it turned out to only be about 7 tables of 7, and the ship's representative at our table kinda gave it away when he didn't eat all of the chocolate basket with his Strawberries Romanoff and said, "You can get fat eating these every sea day."

The presentation was exquisite. Of course, we had to walk 5 miles on the Promenade deck because we couldn't pass up a bite.

Wonderful experience.

Hi

I was on the Dawn for 11/23/03 sailing and because it is so port intensive I was invited to the cocktail party that the captain favors. It was really nice and my first invite to a top passenger party. It was quite nice. I'm on the Grand this Sunday and ope to be invited again, but I guess can't expect it. Makes we want to keep cruising with Princess though.

CruiseAholic is currently aboard the Island Princess. I received an email from him this morning that said he was the #4 most traveled passenger on this sailing.....with 224 days, I believe.

We have heard that this is handled differently per the Captain's wishes and/or the itinerary.
