Good Morning! I am leaving for the Carib. on March 16- taking my 17 year old son (going as a graduation celebration)- sure hope this will be fun for him! What do you think? Of course studying all of this cruise info a lot ! We are going Princess Cays then St Martin then St Thomas- wondering about the port side and the starboard side...I have heard on one side you will get view of Islands --- we are on the starboard side with balcony---will we see the island?? What direction should I point my son (who thinks he is grown) in so that he will have the best time?? Oh yea - assuming that there will be a bunch of walking on beach and boat .... my feet are sensitive (flat) .... any shoes you guys recommend?

Thanks for any advice !

I am sailing next weekend - so let me know if there is anything in particular you would like me to check out.

I got water shoes - have had them for years. I love them. You can find them at just about any store. You will need them for the beach as some are kinda rocky - escpecially Princess Cays.

Also - check out this web site - - I found it very helpful even if it is older.

I am sure for that date there will be plenty of other young adults his age. Just mix and mingle.

Enjoy and post any questions you might have.

I would recommend croc flipflops. They are the only sandals to wear for a longtime. I weould not recommend shoes because you are in and out of the water and beach so much. I'm going on this cruise on March 9th!

I like the water shoes too. If you have any kind of a sandle the water will suck those babies down::eek: They are like 6 bucks at walmart.

dont ever book a balcony cabin based on what side will dock facing the ports.

On the CB- we starboard side to st thomas- but in St Martin the starboard side faced the GLory. the port side faced the open port.

Depending on when you arrive and when you leave and how the capt wants to "park" is what side will face the ports.
